Grammar Queens and Kings not wanted here

A while ago I had someone write in my guest book that they were concerned with me home schooling because of my lack of grammar skills on my doodles.

Lets see doodles..

I thanked them for their concern and explained a few things to them; I was very polite to them though I should have added a few more things to the letter. I never did hear back from them, they are probably on vacation or gave me a bogus email address. I took their unwanted post down from my guest book. It is not wanted here and I actually dont want to hear from them back I felt I should have added a few more items on my list to them.

So if by chance they do come back, which is beyond me why they would want to come back unless they enjoy torturing themselves, here is my reply back of what I should have said and for others (grammar kings, queens) here that might have no clue.

Dear Grammar Queen:

Thank you for your concern of my childrens welfare in Home schooling. Please be aware that I do realize that I stink in my grammar/spelling, this has not come to a shock to me. I have been aware of this known fact for years now. I however do not teach my children grammar or any other skill that I feel I lack. I am intelligent to realize that when I need help I will ask for it.

I am not a prideful person that I wouldnt ask for help. Therefore since my daughter was in kinder she has been taught by certified English teachers as well as my husband whos mother was an English teacher for years. I also enroll my children in a local Co-op with mothers like myself who might lack a certain skill can be taught by mothers that do have this skill and vice versa.

I am though concerned about your own childrens welfare if you too home school them or send them to private school, that you may spend to much time online trying to be a Grammar queen. I am worried about your reading comprehensive skills since it seems you didnt comprehend my doodles page where I stated that my grammar stinks and that I was going to write anyways cause quite frankly this is my diary after all.

If you say that you didnt get that far on reading that part, then I have to say am worried about your manner skills. How could someone that just skimmed over someones diary take it upon themselves to write such a remark in someone guest book?

I suppose you just like attention. This is very bad etiquette in the cyber world, which makes me concerned how you teach your children manners in the real world.

Most importantly I am concerned about your ignorance in the Home school community world that you didnt realize that we dont do it all, even a teacher that is certified in public or private schools doesnt do it all. They may be specialized in English but it wouldnt make them capable of teaching someone math.

Also that you didnt realize that you can hire a tutor, you can take your children to co-op you can get your spouse/grandparent/good friend to teach your children too.

In conclusion, I have stated on this diary, that I do this for me and myself alone. Its on the front page by the way in case you missed that too. I love to look back and read my stories and laugh. Some day when I am old and cranky I will get a kick out of it. I have some faithful readers that write me time and time again that they love to read about my country life.

I once had a highschool journalism teacher tell me the same thing like you, that I wouldnt stand a chance at writing yet that same year she sent in two of my newspaper columns and I won first and third in State. I also won a scholarship essay contest that year and became Club Editor for the yearbook at my University.

Through the years I have had many of my stories published and yes they actually paid me for it. Sure my grammar stinks, as I stated I know that, yet some how when I really want too I can make it work, enough for people to understand me and enjoy my work and that is what matters to me. They have nice people that do proof reading for a living they are my best friends hahaha. If you dont like my writings then please find another place to dwell. Take this information in good faith and I hope never to hear from you again because as it states in this Subject line Grammar Queens and Kings are not wanted here go start your own diary please and you can rant about me and other grammar rejects in your own words and perfect grammar and spelling

Regards
